Wajos is a German food & beverage brand known for its gourmet sauces, seasonings, and recipe collections. Before 2019, they ran an Adobe Commerce (Magento) store but faced delays whenever marketing wanted to refresh banners, launch a seasonal recipe, or A/B test a new layout. Every design tweak or content block update required developer time, and that slowed down campaigns and blocked creative ideas.
As Wajos expanded its product and event offerings, the team needed a platform that supported rapid changes without technical bottlenecks. Under their old system, even simple tasks like updating a product listing or rotating homepage visuals took days. The friction held marketing strategies hostage and limited the brand’s agility when responding to seasonal demand.
In 2019, Wajos partnered with Shopify Plus Solutions Partner Eshop Guide to migrate their store to Shopify Plus. The new setup delivered an intuitive admin panel, a flexible theme editor, and a library of built-in automation tools. The team could now spin up new landing pages, launch limited-time offers, and integrate storytelling content alongside product launches without coding each change.
During the migration, key focus areas included migrating existing product data, redesigning the site structure for easier navigation, and setting up Shopify Scripts to customize checkout offers. Automated email flows and loyalty integrations were configured to keep customers engaged post-purchase. The far simpler interface meant that non-technical staff could manage content directly in the admin console, freeing developers for deeper integrations.
Within twelve months, Wajos saw a 13× increase in revenue, a 528% bump in average order value, and a 121% rise in order volume. Rapid campaign launches and dynamic content updates accelerated sales during key seasonal peaks, and marketing could test new ideas without code handoffs. The brand’s storytelling approach paired perfectly with Shopify Plus’s modular architecture.
With performance metrics climbing across the board, Wajos is now exploring international sales channels and deeper personalization options using Shopify Functions and third-party analytics. Their success shows how a modern commerce platform can unlock creativity and fuel sustained growth.
