Before Thrive My Way existed, Georgi Todorov was in a standard 9-to-5 role feeling uninspired. He decided to invest $50,000 of his savings in building an online resource aimed at fellow entrepreneurs. His goal was simple: use strong Search Engine Optimization to rank without costly ad spend and turn organic traffic into revenue.
Georgi studied free SEO lessons from industry sites, then practiced on client projects. With a solid grasp of keywords, he sketched out article drafts and chose a brandable domain. In August 2021, Thrive My Way went live on WordPress, packed with a handful of well-researched posts targeting high-opportunity search terms.
To grow faster, he hired 20 writers who turned his outlines into in-depth posts. He also recruited virtual assistants to handle on-page optimization. Clear processes and detailed SOPs let even non-SEO experts follow best practices. Within eight months, the site hit 100,000 organic visits per month.
In September 2022, a major algorithm change cut daily clicks in half, from 6,000 to 3,000. Another update in December worsened the drop. Instead of stopping, Georgi audited every page, refreshed old posts, and refined internal linking. By March 2023, daily clicks jumped to over 10,000—surpassing the previous peak.
Thrive My Way used display ads through Mediavine but leaned heavily on affiliate marketing. Georgi created a “Best deals” section listing web hosting, site builders, and other tools with exclusive discounts. Sponsored posts and a digital course provided additional income streams.
Despite healthy traffic and revenue, Georgi’s passion lay in launching new projects, not scaling this one further. He approached Empire Flippers first but chose Flippa after a higher valuation. A premium listing generated 205 inquiries and a quick sale to a decisive buyer at $102,000, or 2.2x ARR.
