Profumerie Griffe launched its ecommerce site in 2009 on Adobe Commerce. Over a decade later, Black Friday traffic triggered slowdowns and site crashes that ate into marketing spend. When the Naïma Group acquisition brought fresh capital and a vision for omnichannel growth, the team realised they needed a platform that could keep pace.
With 21 brick-and-mortar stores and an online assortment of more than 40,000 SKUs across 400 brands, Griffe struggled to keep inventory in sync. Peak periods like Cyber Week caused site outages that thwarted paid campaigns. Each design tweak on Adobe Commerce meant extra developer hours, delaying UX updates and pushing budgets higher.
In 2022, Griffe chose Shopify Plus. They split the rollout into three phases: first, they rebuilt the storefront to match current consumer trends; next, they integrated their ERP via API for real-time inventory updates; finally they migrated 40,000 products with zero SEO loss. Using Shopify Flow, the team automated routine tasks, freeing up five hours of weekly labour. Meta Ads and Google Ads integrations let them launch campaigns without toggling between dashboards.
They also leaned on Shopify Scripts to set custom promotions, taxes, and shipping rules. Fraud Control blocked high-risk orders before a chargeback could happen. Shopify Payments cut transaction fees and simplified checkout — boosting mobile checkout speed by 4×.
The first quarter after launch saw sales climb 102% year-over-year. Conversion rates jumped 44% quarter-over-quarter and 24% year-over-year. Site transactions rose 52% and mobile conversions surged 92%. Automations and scripts lifted average order value by 22%, while live inventory visibility helped avoid stockouts and over-selling.
By moving to Shopify Plus, Profumerie Griffe built a foundation that scales. Real-time sync, automated workflows, and a streamlined checkout gave them the flexibility to handle spikes without manual firefighting. Today their omnichannel roadmap includes in-store POS integration, international expansion, and a tailored subscription service.
